Welcome/Willkommen!

Hello and welcome. Hope you enjoy the images I have posted. Please do not reproduce them without my permission. Most are available as note/greeting cards or as prints/enlargements. Thank you for visiting my site and your comments.
Many have asked about the Header image above, which I named 'Eerie Genny'. It was originally shot with film [taken on the shore of the Genesee River near the Univ. of Rochester]. During the darkroom development, I flashed a light above the tray. The process, known as 'solarization', produces eerie, ghostlike effects; some have mistaken this image as an infra-red photo. Some 35+ years later, I scanned and digitized the print, and did a little modern day editing, and, voila.

Rochester Skies [Sky Watch Friday]

I’ve been away for quite some time, and got out of the habit of posting. It did not help that I had depleted my cache of photos earmarked for SWF. So, today I will venture back for a visit and share two images that that I made with my trusty cell phone camera. The shot below was taken after I had exited Image City Gallery, after our monthly get-together discussing our photo assignments. Talk about being in the right place at the right time. The steel sculpture stands right on the street [University Ave.], which runs through the Neighborhood of the Arts [NOTA]; and the Memorial Art Gallery is a few hundred yards further up the road.

The shot below is one I had been intending to take for a long time. The building, which I frequently drive past, houses a fitness center and some offices. It has been a repulsive eyesore for years. Oddly enough, it is also on University Ave., only ca. 2 miles east of NOTA.
